Here is a list of important announcements & upcoming activities planned for the Cub Scouts:
- Our next committee meeting is Tuesday February 12th at 6:30 in the St. Paul’s cafeteria. We will be discussing March activities, start planning the Blue & Gold, and recap the Winter Campout. Parents are encouraged to attend.
- Parvuli Dei (Children of God) activity books should be presented to the Cub’s parish priest or the priest’s representative. The Cub and parent or guardian meet with the priest to review the book. After the priest or representative signs the book, the parent/guardian will forward a copy of the application to

- On Wednesday February 20th we will NOT be meeting at St. Paul’s. Instead, we will be getting together to go swimming at the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic & Fitness Center (behind Sears, off Delaware Rd) at 6:30pm. Cost is $4 / youth and $5 / adult - members are free.
- Our Pinewood Derby is going to be held on Wednesday, March 12th. Signups are available for helping to run the derby as well as bringing in food.
- Mr. Bill is running a Pinewood Derby workshop on Saturday February 23rd from 10:00 AM to noon at St. Paul’s. Additional adult supervision is being requested - see Mr. Bill.
- Lowe’s is holding Pinewood Derby workshops every Tuesday until the end of the month. Pre-registration is recommended - call Lowes of W. Amherst (on Niagara Falls Blvd.) at 831-5990 & ask for Kevin or Gordie in Hardware.
- Pack 529 will participate in the Good Turn for America Collection Event with Tops Markets. We will be collecting food on Saturday, April 5th from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm at Tops Markets at the corner of Sheridan & Delaware.
- Due to the Spring recess, our Blue & Gold dinner has been moved to Saturday, April 26th.
- Summer Camp is Sunday July 27th through Wednesday July 30th. $10 deposit per camper is due TONIGHT. Fees, if paid by April 25th, are:
$265 per 1 youth & 1 parent, grandparent or legal guardian per session.
$165 per 1 additional cub scout, same family, same Pack, same session.
$185 per youth without accompanying adult.
$ 95 per adult without accompanying youth.

Tonight’s meeting has been canceled. We’ve also received an extension on summer camp deposits until next week.

The December leaders meeting is being moved to Tuesday the 11th rather than the 18th. This will give us a little more time to plan for the Christmas party.
